YWLC was proud to participate in the National Mentoring Summit 2025, a national platform that brings together organisations, mentors, mentees, and partners who believe in the power of mentoring to shape confident, future-ready individuals.
This year’s theme, “Mentorship for all: #onegoodtalk to give or gain”, aligned closely with YWLC’s mission to nurture young women at different stages of their leadership journey through mentoring and networking opportunities. At the summit, YWLC contributed to the conversations to share more on how our community is doing our part in the Singapore community to increase accessibility to mentorship through our initiatives and programme, impacting future generations of young women leaders.
Spotlight on YWLC’s Mentorship Programmes
At our booth, we featured YWLC’s two mentorship programmes, reflecting our mission to support women at different stages of their leadership journey while giving back to the wider community.
Flagship Mentorship Programme

Established in 2009, YWLC’s Flagship Mentorship Programme is a structured nine-month initiative designed to support young women in their personal and professional development.
Through this programme, YWLC mentees are supported to:
Be mentored by some of Singapore’s most accomplished senior women leaders
Grow into well-rounded, future-ready leaders
Cultivate a strong culture of contributing meaningfully and community leadership
The programme continues to be a cornerstone of YWLC’s work, fostering deep mentor-mentee relationships and a strong sense of community among members.
Pay-It-Forward (PIF) Mentorship Programme
The Pay-It-Forward (PIF) Mentorship Programme is a structured six-month journey where YWLC members step into the role of mentors, supporting tertiary students aged 17–21 from ITE, polytechnics and universities.
Through the PIF programme, mentees are given opportunities to:
Learn from mentors’ personal education and career journeys
Broaden their networks and perspectives on professional and personal skill development
Gain clarity and confidence as they transition into the workplace
This programme reflects YWLC’s belief in the importance of paying mentorship forward and nurturing leadership with purpose and empathy.
Meaningful Conversations and Connections
Throughout the Summit, YWLC had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with Summit participants, mentors, youth advocates and organisations. These exchanges reaffirmed the importance of building a strong mentoring ecosystem in Singapore that supports individuals across different life and career stages.
Looking Ahead
YWLC remains committed to strengthening our mentorship initiatives and expanding our impact through thoughtful programme design, meaningful partnerships and an engaged community of women leaders. Both mentorship programmes will open up their new cycles in 2026.
YWLC is always open to conversations around potential partnerships! Drop us a note at partnerships@ywlc.org.sg to explore positive synergies.
Together, let’s continue to lead, lift and empower — one mentorship journey at a time.
