The YWLC Collective 2026 Townhall held on 10 January 2026 marked a meaningful moment of reflection, connection, and shared intention. Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ms Gan Siow Huang attended as Guest-of-Honour for the event.
Anchored in the theme of Discover. Connect. Celebrate., the Townhall was organised collectively by the Strategy & Data Insights and Member Engagement subcommittees - bringing together 45 members to revisit our purpose, reflect on our shared journey, and celebrate the collective growth of the YWLC community. The experience was thoughtfully grounded in a well-being framework by Happiness Initiative, offering members practical tools to pause, reconnect, and step into the year ahead with greater clarity and intention.

To open YWLC’s annual Townhall, our Guest-of-Honour, Minister of State Ms Gan Siow Huang, provided an address on the value of a community like YWLC in supporting personal growth, wellbeing and resilience.

Discovering Our Journey in YWLC

The session followed with a creative and engaging conversational skit presentation between a YWLC AI Human Member (represented by 9th Executive Committee’s Chairperson - Casherine Goh) and a new YWLC member (represented by 9th Executive Committee’s Vice-Chairperson - Adreena Lau) that traced a member’s journey through this community: from a new member taking her first steps, to finding her voice with subcommittees that share her interest, and finally to a leader stepping forward to create impact. Through this storytelling format, members were guided through the lived YWLC experience across time.
Along the way, the conversation revisited YWLC’s four core pillars: Mentorship, Leadership Development, Social Impact, and Networking, and unpacked the mission behind the 9th Executive Committee’s strategic goals and values. YWLC strongly believes in being the platform where young female leaders are given opportunities for leadership development, benefit from mentorship, have a kind heart for community service and giving back, as well as networking opportunities to meet and learn from peers.
As the conversation progressed, attention turned to the ecosystem that supports members along this journey, from member circles and flagship programmes, to mentorship, partnerships, and opportunities for lifelong learning. Equally emphasised was the importance of friendships, peer support, and volunteering as steady anchors through personal and professional transitions.
Reframing Challenges, Strengthening Ourselves Together

Building on these reflections, the Townhall shifted into a more experiential space through a well-being workshop facilitated by The Happiness Initiative, a research-based social enterprise committed to making well-being accessible and actionable. During the workshop, members were invited to slow down, reflect inwardly, and engage openly with one another. The energy in the room reflected what YWLC does best at its core: bringing women together to hold space, learn collectively, and grow stronger through shared understanding.
Members participated in “Let’s Unpack This”, a guided, card-based experience inspired by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Using the ABC Model, participants were invited to unpack real emotions, surface limiting beliefs, and practise reframing them into more constructive, growth-oriented perspectives.

ABC Model:
A: Activating Events
B: Belief
C: Consequent Emotions and Actions
Through prompts and shared dialogue based on everyday challenges, members explored how reframing the “Why” belief together with reframing “always and everything” can reshape emotional responses and create a space for support and growth. The exercise held space for open conversations, and the workshop ended with members selecting the positive emotions and beliefs that they would like to anchor their 2026 on.

As we step into 2026, the invitation remains open for members to discover who they are becoming, connect meaningfully with one another, and celebrate the collective they are building. By participating actively, stepping forward when ready, giving back generously, and staying connected, we are reminded that leadership is never built alone. At YWLC, we lead forward together.
